Lavie | Togtoh County, Inner Mongolia
When we first met the team behind Lavie, we were struck by their passion—not just for winemaking, but for the philosophy that guides them. Inspired by Mongolian culture, they believe wine, like music, is something to be enjoyed for oneself. A quiet pleasure, a personal moment.
Their vineyards sit on the north bank of the Yellow River, where sandy soils and a moderate continental climate shape their Cabernet Sauvignon, Marselan, Merlot, and Syrah. This region has a long history with wine, dating back to the Yuan Dynasty, when the tradition first traveled north from Mongolia. Lavie carries that legacy forward, crafting wines that speak to the land and the people who make them.
So when you pour a glass, take a moment. Drink for yourself. Savor the experience. And let the wine bring you joy—just as it was meant to.

Lavie, ‘Dream Pujie’ Rosé 2023 ●
Pujie—meaning "Thursday’s Born Heavenly Maiden" in Chinese—takes its name from a Mongolian girl featured in the documentary Rain or Shine on the Mongolian Prairie, a story that has touched the hearts of many. Inspired by her strength and grace, this rosé is crafted to reflect those same qualities: delightful yet resilient.
After gently crushing the Marselan grapes, the wine was macerated for two hours skins to give it a colour just a little deeper than most. It is then fermented and aged for six months in oak, adding a subtle complexity to its profile. Notes of ripe strawberries, delicate florals, and a hint of earthiness are balanced by a crystalline purity, creating a refined yet fresh taste. Bottled on a Thursday, this wine honours the spirit of its namesake, Pujie—a tribute to enduring strength and beauty.

Lavie, ‘Paradise’ Marselan 2023 ●
Marselan thrives in the gravelly, sandy alluvial soils of Togtoh County. These soils, combined with the high altitude of the vineyard, create an environment where the grapes develop a remarkable balance of freshness and depth. On the nose, it bursts with fresh strawberries, raspberries, and a hint of cherry—delicate yet powerful. Its texture silky and smooth, its fine tannins gently weaving through each sip, offering both roundness and clarity. As you linger on the palate, the fruit gives way to subtle earthy notes that hint at the rugged terrain of the Mongolian steppes.
Like the land from which it hails, Le Tu is a wine of both vibrancy and endurance, full of life and history, yet refined and graceful, a true reflection of its "Joyful Land."

Lavie, ‘Dragon’ Red Blend 2020 ●
Bold and captivating, this wine commands attention. Rich layers of ripe red and black fruits—cherries, blackberries, and currants—are balanced by hints of spice and coffee. It’s a bigger wine, full-bodied yet elegant, with smooth tannins that offer structure and depth. Each sip reveals complexity, evolving from fruit to earthy, savoury nuances. The finish is long, warm, and satisfying, leaving an impression of strength and finesse.
